The Candlelight Foundation was incorporated in 2016 and opened its doors to the public on   April 24th,2017.

The foundation serves daily meals in her soup kitchen. We also run a scholarship program for underprivileged kids as well as a vocational program geared towards the young adult male

One could only walk the streets and see the number of hungry persons roaming the street, it was only wise that the candlelight foundation be established to mitigate the hunger ravaging the society, thereby enhancing productivity and gainful job seeking.

Funds are primarily obtained from private donors, intra-source funding, and NGO donations.

Everyone! There is no discrimination to access our soup kitchen and scholarship program. However, our shelter is for boys at this time and while we don’t discriminate on who can attend the vocational school, it is geared towards the male in society.

It costs the soup kitchen ₦1000 to feed a person daily summing up to ₦250,000 spent daily. It also costs ₦950,000 to sponsor a child in education per annum and another ₦350,000 on average for each person to go through our vocational school.

We accept those foods that are close to their ‘expiration date’, as a soup kitchen, we are concerned with the mitigation of imminent hunger and the reduction of food wastage. In that regard, we do make good use of those products.
