SKS Program

The Street Kids to School program is a shelter and educational scholarship program for at-risk teens in society. The program is in two dimensions:

Scholarship program: this caters to children of all ages and both sexes in primary school and secondary school. We currently have 8 kids enrolled in this program with 2 grandaunts.

The SKS shelter focuses on teen boys. The program has space for 15 at-risk boys between the ages of 10 to 18. This program is on the way with a beneficiary in the program. The Candlelight Foundation works in conjunction with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social in housing these street kids. All her actions are carried out in line with the Lagos State Child’s Rights Act.

This program caters to the less advantaged boys in our society. Some are homeless and some have parents who cannot afford to send them to school. Under this program, we provide our boys with school fees as well as other educational materials for effective educative purposes. At the moment, all beneficiaries are sponsored throughout secondary school and given the support they need.

The beneficiaries of the shelter for at-risk boys are sent in by the government, the program helps enculturate these boys back into society, making them better citizens of their country as well as better humans.

We will provide them with 3 meals a day, clothes, uniforms, housewear, church wear, shoes etc.

The beneficiaries of the shelter would be exposed to activities which would uplift them socially, morally, spiritually, character-wise and much more.
